Many Happy Returns Peony Roots
Japanese, bomb double on mature plants opens in a rich, warm red. Buds are ovoid and of medium green color. Excellent plant habit, floriferous, dependable bloom, vigorous grower on a compact, medium height bush. Strong, erect stems that are self-supporting, carry flowers close to the attractive medium green foliage. Leaflets are lightly waved. For the landscape, foliage appearance benefits from shade in our Midwest summer heat. Long lasting cut stems store well and will hold for weeks in refrigerated storage.

Note: Fall is the ideal time to plant peony roots (usually September–November). Peonies grow slowly and may take 2–3 years to bloom after planting bare roots. All bare roots will come with 3-5 eyes. Peony roots will be shipped in the fall.
