The Fawn Peony Roots
Full double, large flower opens medium pink with random dark specks throughout, its pattern reminiscent of the one seen on a young deer’s fur coat and apparently, this animal is lending its name to the cultivar– ‘The Fawn’. Large, broad outer petals, grade smaller and narrower inward, the flower is generously furnished with petals and of well-tailored, high build form. Satisfying plant habit, vigorous and fine grower, a dependable bloomer with ample color on a large, medium to tall height bush. Strong stems spreading, especially with rain in the opened flower, needs good support in the viewed landscape. Long stems well clothed in semi-glossy, medium green foliage. Leaves are durable and keep good appearance for most of the growing season. A reliable variety with good landscape qualities. Furnishes fine stems for the vase and makes an excellent choice for the cut flower garden.

Note: Fall is the ideal time to plant peony roots (usually September–November). Peonies grow slowly and may take 2–3 years to bloom after planting bare roots. All bare roots will come with 3-5 eyes. Peony roots will be shipped in the fall.
